Game Scenario

After watching the TV show and reading the books, I have pretty much fell in love with a new world, Westeros! I thought it be pretty cool to run a campaign in this setting. I figure I run a one shot gaming session to see how things would go if I ran a full blow campaign.

I figure I would focus on the time period between 262 to 283. The timeline: The Targaryens Succession. This will be during Aerys II Targaryen aka(The Mad King) rule.

Aerys Targaryen, the second of his name (also called "Aerys the Mad," "the Mad King," and "King Scab") was the last member of House Targaryen to sit the Iron Throne, ruling from 262 AL to 283 AL. He showed great promise at the start of his reign, but grew increasingly unstable. His behavior led some of the noble houses to revolt against the Targaryen dynasty. This revolt, known as the Robert's Rebellion, led to the death of Aerys and most of House Targaryen.

A lot of what I want to do is still being worked out in my head. But it will start with 4 to 6 player characters. These 4 to 6 player character will all be bastard of one or more of the nine houses. Whether the character will know which houses or even know that they are bastards of royalty is still being worked out.

They will be friends of many years and has worked and traveled together. They pretty much make a living from odd jobs here and there. But I will tell you this much. Travels outside of THE WALL will be a huge part of this one shot campaign.

Although I will be using the D&D role playing system for character creation and basic rule sets. I will also be using the - A Song of Ice and Fire Roleplaying books and other materials for basic world structure.
