Initiative:
A D10 is rolled to see who acts first in a combat phase; the higher the roll, the better. There are two melee rounds per phase. A phase of combat is 5 seconds and a melee round is 2.5 seconds. A turn is 10 seconds. In a phase you can complete an combination of these actions, but only two per phase; attack, movement, or a special action such as using a skill or ability.
To Hit Roll:
The roll of a Percentile that determines whether or not the attacking character hits thier opponent. Typically, the lower the roll the better.
Parry:
The roll of a Percentile that determines whether or not the defending character has successfully parry the opponent's attack. Typically, the lower the roll the better.
Dodge:
The roll of a Percentile that determines whether or not the defending character has successfully dodge the opponent's attack(s). Typically, the lower the roll the better.
