The Universal Battles' game setting takes place in the distance future. Where people travel from one galaxy to another as easily as we here on earth travel from New York to Asia. Where races are not only determine by their color or their nationality, but also by their species. There are hundreds and thousands of different species of races out there. Some are flesh, some have exoskeletons, and others are made up of nothing but a form of crystal. There are multiple planets, star systems, and galaxies where these races strive and live.
Because of all of these worlds, star systems, and galaxies, Universal Battles maintains a multi-world campaign. This means you can play any time period or game setting you like. If you are into a prehistoric game setting, there are basic rules for that. Maybe you like to use a Greek or Roman setting, Universal Battles can handle that as well. With Universal Battles, you can play medieval times with dragons and magic, or bump it up to World War l or World War ll. Play a present day campaign, or even do a supernatural or superhero setting. And let’s not forget High-tech with laser and plasma weapons, along with other high-tech equipment such as cybernetics. How about a combo campaign; that is, a western setting with some high-tech equipment (come on, who wouldn’t like to see Clint Eastwood with a plasma pistol?), or mix high-tech equipment with a medieval society (How about King Arthur with a laser sword?). You the player and GM are only limited by your imagination.
