Back Role Playing Game (RPG)
Role playing games are similar to making or acting in a movie, where you have a setting, story lines, actors and a director. The setting could be a time period such as the Medieval period or a futuristic world; the story line could be an adventure or quest...with you saving a princess from a hungry fire breathing dragon; the actors are (you) the players. For example: you could play the role of a knight, ghost hunter, or starship captain. And the director is similar to the Game Master or GM who keeps it all in line. The only different is you use your imagination and a few small items like paper, pencils, and dice.
Sourcebooks
Sourcebooks, world books, and adventure books are all supplements published to expand on the fictional world and to provide the GM and players with more world information, characters, villains, monsters, equipment, powers, adventures and ideas. Supplements are add-ons provided for your entertainment in case you want to use them. However, you can build your own adventures and create you own array of villains and adventures with just the book in your hands. Furthermore, because Universal Battles (UB) role-playing games is a universal game, you can play any type of game setting you chose. This means you can play a medieval fantasy setting with elves, dwarves, dragons, etc. Play a world where super hero’s and super villains reign. If you like horror, you can inter UB’s Lost Souls world where you will fight against supernatural monster and creatures like, ghost, mummy’s, vampires, etc. And if you are the high tech type, you can play in a more futuristic setting such as the ones that are in the popular movies like, Star Wars, Star Trek, Blade Running, Serenity, and Terminator(During the John Connor wars). So that means you can play in any number of different game worlds, dimensions, settings and genres! This is what we call a truly Multi-Universal game system. With Universal Battles, there are unlimited possibilities and epic adventures. "One game system for multiple worlds of adventures!" And you are only limited by your imagination.
